DENVER (KDVR) -- In the neighborhoods surrounding Monarch High School, a community continues to heal. Just over a year after the Marshall Fire, homes are finally being rebuilt in a slow process that has impacted everyone in Louisville."In my school, there are 600 kids who were either long- or short-term displaced from their homes," Kathy Packard said.Packard is a science teacher at Monarch and said the community has been desperate for something to rally around, and the varsity girls basketball team provided just that.The team finished the season 26-1, earning one final game this weekend. DENVER (KDVR) — A cold front is crossing through the state which means cooler temperatures for the weekend with some possible rain for Denver's weather and snow for the mountains. In the Colorado mountains, it will be snowing throughout the weekend and heavy at times. Snow totals look deep in some places and travel will be impacted, especially over the higher passes.Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast has some mountain areas getting more than a foot of fresh snow. A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in Blackstone on Saturday, officials said. Officers responding to a reported assault on Blackstone Street around 11:15 a.m. found a 42-year-old man who had been stabbed, according to the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. After winter weather on Saturday, we see a break between storm systems on Sunday, with highs in the low 40s and partly to mostly cloudy skies.By Monday evening rain and snow moves back into New England as a developing Nor’easter heads our way. Scattered showers will quickly transition from rain to snow overnight Monday into Tuesday, with some locations staying all rain. Wind and coastal flooding are a concern as the storm intensifies on Tuesday.
