Late morning, fog moves out and sunshine takes over for most, accompanied by some cumulus clouds. Some of those clouds may have a chance to produce a thunderstorm or two during the afternoon. Locations north and west of Boston have the highest chance for showers and storms tomorrow afternoon, while most of the area stays dry.Ryan McKenna’s walk-off homer in 10th gives Orioles dramatic 6-4 win over Mariners

It took a series of events for Ryan McKenna to be standing in the batter’s box at Camden Yards in the bottom of Saturday’s 10th inning, many of which did not go the Orioles’ way.But the ends sometimes justify the means, with McKenna’s two-run walk-off homer giving Baltimore a 6-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners.McKenna had entered the game in the top of the ninth as a defensive replacement in right field for Anthony Santander, who was originally set to be the Orioles’ designated hitter in Cedric Mullins’ first game off the injured list. But with rain passing through Baltimore before the game, manager Brandon Hyde tweaked his defensive positioning. Mullins went to DH, Aaron Hicks slid from right to center, and Santander went out to right. Both Hicks and Santander (4-for-4 with two RBIs) homered in a back-and-forth game, with Seattle’s four runs each coming on a solo shot, the last being Mike Ford’s second of the afternoon with two outs...Max Scherzer grinds through Phillies lineup as Mets grab much-needed victory, 4-2

The ace cruised through the first three innings before running into trouble in the third with a leadoff home run by Nick Castellanos. The damage was minimal, but the Mets’ lead was cut in half, 2-1. Officials shut down drinking water intakes downstream while they evaluated the danger after the 6 a.m. accident. David Stamey, the county’s chief of emergency services, said there was no immediate danger for the crews working at the site, and the hazardous material was being diluted by the swollen river. There were three asphalt cars and four sulfur cars in the river. The train crew was safe and no injuries were reported, Montana Rail Link spokesman Andy Garland said in a statement. The asphalt and sulfur both solidify quickly when exposed to cooler temperatures, he said.Rai...Latest news
