A fire at a Garden Grove strip mall Thursday night caused more than $1 million in damages, officials said.The blaze was reported around 8:40 p.m. at a strip mall in the 12500 block of Valley View Street, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.Responding crews saw flames coming from the roof of the building and the blaze was declared a second-alarm fire, prompting the response of more than 40 firefighters, OCFA Capt. Thanh Nguyen said. Woman, Young Girl Hurt after Pedestrian Collision near International BoulevardOAKLAND, CA (March 31, 2023) – Saturday at noon, a hit-and-run crash near 34th Avenue left a woman and a child with injuries.The incident happened on February 18th, just after 12:00 p.m., when officers received a report about a pick-up truck that struck a woman and a young girl.Officers arrived at the scene and found the two victims with serious injuries on the road. Medics transported them both to a local hospital where the child was reported to be in stable condition. Meanwhile, the woman has listed in a critical state but was in stable condition.
