MONTREAL — Another northern Quebec town was evacuated due to an out of control wildfire on Saturday as the federal government confirmed that Canadian Forces personnel would be deployed to help combat forest fires in the province.About 2,000 residents of Lebel-sur-Quévillon, about 620 kilometres northwest of Montreal, were the latest to receive a mandatory evacuation notice on Friday evening due to forest fires nearby.Lebel-sur-Quévillon Mayor Guy Lafrenière said Saturday saying the fire continued to threaten the municipality even though its spread had slowed overnight. ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) — Less than a week after an apartment building partially collapsed in Iowa, more than 140 people were evacuated from a condominium in Minnesota after a structural engineer expressed concerns about its stability.Officials in Rochester, Minnesota, ordered residents of the 15-story, 94-unit Rochester Towers Condominium to evacuate Friday afternoon, police said. Residents were advised to find temporary housing elsewhere while short-term shoring work is done to the building structure, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police announced that the woman who had been missing out of Troy has been found safe. Her disappearance had prompted an abducted adult alert early in the day on June 3. State Police canceled the alert at 2:28 p.m. on June 3, and at 3:15 p.m., it was announced that the Albany Police Department had located the vehicle and the woman. BRENTWOOD, Mo. - A highly-anticipated park in the St. Louis metro is now open to the public. Brentwood mayor David Dimmit and other officials celebrated the grand opening of Brentwood Park on Friday. A multi-million dollar destination playground on the park grounds is expected to open this fall. The new facility is home to the Deer Creek Greenway Connector, a path that connects Rogers Parkway with the Deer Creek Greenway. A Lochbuie man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for production of child pornography.Steven Patrick McConnell, 32, was also sentenced to 25 years of supervised release following the prison term, according to a U.S. Justice Department news release.In December of 2021, McConnell engaged in online conversations with an undercover FBI agent about a six-year-old victim, according to the release. McConnell, who entered a plea agreement in the case, said that he sexually assaulted the victim and produced child pornography of the assaults.The FBI obtained the IP address associated with McConnell and served a warrant at his residence where “devices” containing “child pornography produced by the defendant” were seized.
