Rider Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Riverview AvenueWINTER GARDENS, CA (April 19, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, two victims sustained injuries in a motor crash on Riverview Avenue.Police responded to the scene just before 3:00 p.m., near Lemon Crest Drive.Per reports, a 19-year-old man was heading north on a black 1985 Yamaha motor when he lost control. As a result, the rider crashed and was ejected onto the road.Shortly after, the driver of a southbound 2012 Toyota Camry struck the rider who was down on the road.Medical personnel arrived and transported the rider and the driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.At this time, it was unknown why the rider lost control of his motorcycle. Dave Wilcox, a Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker with the 49ers from 1964-74, passed away Wednesday at age 80.Wilcox, known as “The Intimidator,” was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2000 alongside Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Howie Long and Dan Rooney.“What a year to be selected to join these past greats,” Wilcox said in his enshrinement speech. “It is indeed an honor to stand up here in front of the greatest football players of all time and being included in that group. Thirty-seven students in the Bay Area have received national gold medals through Scholastic’s Art and Writing Awards, the longest-running and most prestigious competition of its kind in the country, while another 43 students earned silver medals. (KRON) -- A fire has been reported Wednesday afternoon in the Nob Hill neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD). Crews responded to a building at 1625 Leavenworth St. One person was rescued and taken to a burn center, officials said. The unidentified individual was taken to the emergency room and suffered a "critical injury" As of 2:20 p.m., forward progress on the fire has stopped, and it is unknown how many people were displaced. The second and third floor of the building was damaged, according to SFFD.The fire first broke out at 1:38 p.m. and was contained one hour later, according to SFFD. It was originally reported to be a one-alarm fire but has since grown to two alarms. The public is asked to avoid the area as crews respond to the fire.
