They are wonderfully flexible, too, combining year-round ingredients with a smattering of easy toppings and drizzles that can be prepared in advance, along with an optional salsa fresca that can either be homemade or store-bought. BALTIMORE (AP) — The Miami Dolphins were playing out the final minutes of a particularly distasteful defeat Sunday when things went from bad to worse. The first-string defense had already been humbled and beaten by the Baltimore Ravens when star linebacker Bradley Chubb dropped to the ground, flat on his back and unable to move because of a knee injury. A while later, the team’s sack leader was lifted onto a cart and driven into the tunnel.Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel lamented his decision to keep Chubb on the field in the waning minutes of what became a 56-19 loss.“In hindsight, I would have absolutely not wanted him out there if I knew he was going to get hurt, for sure,” McDaniel said. “That’s a known part of the job that I understand fully. It doesn’t look very smart at all.”While it appears unlikely that the sixth-year pro will return to play this season, McDaniel grimaced and held out hope for a favorable diagnosis.“We don’t have the information to find out what it is yet...South Florida continues festivities on New Year’s Day

The Israeli military has started withdrawing units from Gaza, indicating that a new phase of the war has begun, though officials said the conflict is far from over.“Some of the reservists will return to their families and employment this week,” an Israel Defense Forces spokesman said. The decision to move soldiers out of Gaza will “significantly ease the burden on the economy and allow them to gather strength for the upcoming activities in the next year,” as fighting is expected to continue into 2024.Israeli figures say 8,000 militants have been killed since the Gaza offensive, while the total number of deaths, including civilians, is approximately 22,000, according to Gaza’s health ministry. The IDF’s stated goal is to “dismantle the Hamas terrorist organization’s military and administrative capabilities,” no easy feat in a densely-packed urban landscape riddled with an extensive underground tunnel system that protects militants and helps hide hostages.Israel pulled tanks out of some...L Street Brownies take annual Polar Plunge in South Boston
