CHICAGO — When it comes to romance scams in the state of Illinois, a new study shows Illinoisians are falling hard. According to Social Catfish, Illinois ranks No. 10 with 506 victims losing $17.8 million in 2022. The state finished 24th among states with the highest average loss per victim at $35,137. The reverse search technology company compiled a list using data from the FBI and Federal Trade Commission. The city, located 20 miles south of Austin, is hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the largest same-name gathering. So, if your name is Kyle and you've wanted to break a world record, your time to shine is Sunday, May 21. There just needs to be more than 2,325 Kyles in Kyle at 4 p.m. that day. AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former Austin FC sporting director Claudio Reyna is no longer listed on the team's website as part of the technical staff.Reyna resigned from his post as Austin FC's sporting director in January in the fallout of abuse allegations he and his wife Danielle made to the U.S. Soccer Federation following the 2022 FIFA World Cup about U.S. Men's National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter. A family argument over the weekend led a Lake Elmo teenager to stab a relative with a knife, puncturing the man’s lung and causing it to collapse and fill with fluid, according to charging documents filed Monday in Washington County District Court.The 17-year-old boy was charged Monday with first-degree felony assault in Washington County District Court. He was arrested Saturday afternoon after police were called to a house in the 10000 block of Third Street Place North around 3:15 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found the 33-year-old victim “bleeding from two stab wounds to his chest and upper back,” according to a news release from the Washington County Attorney’s Office.The victim identified the teen as his attacker and told deputies the two had gotten into an argument.At one point during the argument, the teen reportedly left the room and went to an upstairs bedroom.
