Tizane Digs Grande Tizane Digs Grande: 21-year-old rocker Tizane told us about her Ariana Grande experience. My all-time favourite gig? Hmmm…Well I suppose based on the ‘First cut is always the deepest theory’, I would have to say Ariana Grande at Koko, Camden [London] in 2018.I was 16 and AG was my entrée artist. They were running a comp on Capital Radio which involved having to listen over several days. The prize was to attend an intimate showcase style gig with Ariana, which lo and behold I actually won. When the guy announced my name I all but screamed the house down, I was in such a state of shock I nearly had a serious anxiety attack.None the more I went, and it was so magical, really intimate.  There was hardly anybody there at all and she just chatted to us and performed acoustic versions of her songs. Life changer! I really must thank Ariana for inspiring me to follow in her footsteps and become a musician myself.’Tizane Digs Grande: Tizane’s Forever is Nothing album is out June 23...

The do’s and don’ts of legal and safe lane splitting: Roadshow Q: Lane splitting is technically legal for motorcyclists in California, but the way it is done is often not legal. Problems include lane splitting above 30 mph, using no signal, making unsafe lane changes, following too close, and lane splitting more than 10 mph faster than cars they are passing. Many motorcyclists have no plates or no visible plates, no Class M driver’s license, no insurance, etc.I know what I am talking about. I’m retired from law enforcement and am a private investigator. I have dealt with these people. They are not people who do things by the rules and do not care about others. It is too bad the CHP does not stop and cite/arrest/tow more of them.Doug, Walnut CreekA: The big issue for me is motorcyclists who lane split at high speed.Q: The intersection of Foothill Expressway and Magdalena/Springer looks like a war zone, with easily 50 potholes on Foothill in the area right around the intersection. They filled two potholes a year ago, and left the rest...
