Pop-punk band Sum 41 breaking up after 27 years (WTAJ) – Iconic early 2000s pop-punk band Sum 41 announced on Twitter that they will disband for good after their 2023 tour. The group said they are looking forward to releasing one last album, "Heaven :x: Hell," and going on tour to promote it before disbanding. Sheriff's deputy attacked, killed by dog in Indianapolis while doing favor for a for friend INDIANAPOLIS (WXIN) – An Indiana sheriff's deputy is dead and her son is in the hospital after they were attacked while dogsitting at their home in Indianapolis on Tuesday.Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 8 p.m. to the city's east side, on reports of an aggressive animal. Upon arrival, IMPD said officers spoke with neighbors who said that a person had been attacked by an aggressive dog inside a nearby home. Officers attempted to get inside and eventually found a woman, on the ground and injured, inside an adjacent garage. (WFLA) — While crews were inspecting a stormwater pipe in Florida, they found an unexpected visitor: A 5-foot-long gator.A stormwater crew in Oviedo, which is near Orlando, discovered the gator while investigating a series of potholes that appeared in the roadway on May 5.They sent a robot into a pipe to see if there were any anomalies under the roadway. Hays CISD student suffers heart attack two days after birthday HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- Hays CISD said one of its students is in the hospital after suffering a heart attack two days after turning 17 years old.According to her family, Lehman High School junior Riley Koenig went into cardiac arrest on April 15. She's been in the hospital ever since. Her family said because her siblings learned CPR while students at Lehman, they were able to jump into action.Her mother said she was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy at Dell Children's Hospital, where she currently is in rehabilitation. This comes as more research shows heart attacks can happen at any age.Her family has a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses. KXAN's Sarah Al-Shaikh will have more on this story. Albany man arrested for possessing child pornography LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On May 10, State Police arrested Buddy Blowers, 62, of Albany. An investigation, which stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, was conducted by Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, with support from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce. The investigation led to Blowers being accused of possessing several images consistent with child sexual exploitation. Blowers was arrested at his home and transported to SP Latham for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on May 15, and was released.

CHARLES, Mo. - The St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department is closing the McNair Aquatic Facility, effective immediately.In a statement, the department said the water park had "major functionality and infrastructure issues," the latest of which was a "substantial leak" beneath the pool shell.
