SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A mountain climber and a cliff diver have died in separate incidents at national recreation spots in the West, officials said.Cory Ryan Ehrnschwender, 36, of Cincinnati died while cliff-jumping at Lake Powell, the Salt Lake Tribune reported Saturday. The lake is located in southern Utah and northern Arizona in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.Witnesses reported a person jumping off a cliff from a height of about 50 feet (15 meters) and then not resurfacing Thursday. SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — A police officer in a Washington, D.C., suburb shot and killed a man after reports he had, without provocation, stabbed four people at random on Saturday, officials said.The victims included three women — two were stabbed in the neck — and a man, all of whom are expected to survive, Montgomery County Police Assistant Chief Darren Francke told reporters during a Saturday afternoon news conference at the scene. CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man has died after they were pulled from the water Friday night at North Avenue Beach in Chicago.According to the Chicago Fire Department, the person was rescued from the water around 9 p.m. FBI looking for 2 people who robbed bank in Addison Chicago Fire Department personnel began CPR and took the person to Northwest Medical Center in grave condition. He later died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A man entered a guilty plea in reference to a June shooting in south Austin , which led to a police chase, according to court documents.Raymond Anthony Valdez, 27, was charged with a felony count of evading arrest; however, by to entering a guilty plea, the state reduced the charge to evading arrest, court documents said.
