AUSTIN (KXAN) -- House Bill 663, which would create a statewide maternal health data registry, passed in the Texas House of Representatives on Friday.Rep. Shawn Thierry, D-Houston, authored the bill and filed it on Nov. 14, 2022. ST. LOUIS - Three officers are hurt and one was shot Friday afternoon in St. Louis, just a little north of Forest Park. The shooting happened outside an apartment complex in the Skinker-Debaliviere neighborhood. This situation unfolded just before 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 5700 block of Kingsbury Place. PEVELY, Mo. - The remains of a woman found in the woods were identified on Friday.Chief Mark Glenn of the Pevely Police Department said the victim is identified as 64-year-old Joan Giudicy. Glenn said the death is being considered suspicious.A mushroom hunter had discovered the body in a remote wooded area on Sunday night.This is the second time a Missouri mushroom hunter has found remains over the past week. Navigating Colorado’s real estate market can be challenging for first-time homebuyers.According to new research by Moneywise, Colorado ranks fourth on its list of most difficult states for first-time homebuyers — the others in the top 5: Hawaii, California, Washington, and Massachusetts.The National Association of Realtors estimates the average buyer makes a 13% downpayment. Crews are working to rescue two horses trapped under heavy brush in Palos Verdes on Friday.The horses are stuck in a ravine near the 27100 block of Sunnyridge Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.Firefighters received calls about the trapped horses around 2:41 p.m. Video from Sky5 shows two people monitoring a brown and a black horse standing together with their heads buried under brush as they await further help.The horses are located about 75 feet down a ridgeline with track homes nearby. Pedestrian Critically Injured after Vehicle Collision near Logan HeightsSAN DIEGO, CA (April 28, 2023) – Thursday night, a hit-and-run crash on National Avenue left one person hospitalized.The incident happened on April 14th, at around 9:30 p.m. in the Logan Heights area.According to reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian that was walking in the area. Pedestrian Killed Following Hit-and-Run Crash in Vermont Vista NeighborhoodLOS ANGELES, CA (April 28, 2023) – Sunday night, a hit-and-run crash on Vermont Avenue left one pedestrian killed.The incident happened on April 9th at around 9:30 p.m. in the Vermont Vista neighborhood.Investigation showed that a pedestrian was struck by a white sedan as he was walking in the area.
