ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Wolf Road Denny's location has permanently closed, according to Denny's Corporate. The Colonie diner officially shut their doors as of April 20. Years later, the diner struggled with staffing and operational issues and eventually became unable to continue service. The location was a thriving piece of the Wolf Road business community for several years. However the most notable mention in the diner's history came from a viral video from 2017 showing a brawl that took place at the location. ST. LOUIS - An acclaimed poet and English professor at Washington University in St. Louis has won the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry. Carl Phillips won the award and $15,000 cash prize for the collection "Then the War: And Selected Poems, 2007-2020." In selecting Phillips, the Pulitzer committee described "Then the War" as "a masterful collection that chronicles American culture as the country struggles to make sense of its politics, of life in the wake of a pandemic, and of our place in a changing global community."Phillips is the third faculty member to win the Pulitzer for poetry. For the second consecutive ski season, U.S. resorts generated record visitation according to preliminary figures reported Tuesday by the National Ski Areas Association at its annual convention in Savannah, Ga.NSAA, which is headquartered in Lakewood, put the cumulative number at 64.7 million, a 6.6% increase over last year. The six-state Rocky Mountain region also broke its record for the second consecutive year with 27.9 million.The figures are preliminary because some ski areas, including four in Colorado, remain in operation.
