Female Driver Pronounced Dead after Red-Light Crash on Cheyenne AvenueLAS VEGAS, NV (July 11, 2023) – Late Monday night, one woman was pronounced dead after a red-light collision on Losee Road.Police received dispatch calls in the area around 11:00 p.m., at the intersection of Losee Road and Cheyenne Avenue.Following preliminary investigations, officers say the female driver of a black Honda Accord ran a red light and struck a Nissan Sentra that was traveling through a green light.The Honda then lost control and struck a nearby palm tree. Medics arrived and took the female driver of the Honda to UMC Trauma where she later succumbed to her injuries on July 4th.Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver and passenger of the Nissan to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. He was 44.Jones had gone out into the ocean Sunday morning during a trip to the Mentawai Islands off the western coast of Sumatra when his surfboard fin cut his femoral artery, said his father, dentist Dr. John Jones. The femoral artery is a large blood vessel in the thigh that delivers blood to lower limbs.“He was a humble artist. His pictures were incredible,” his father said in a phone interview from his Honolulu office on Monday.Jones’ Instagram account shows stunning images of waves curling around him from above while he crouches on his board. BERLIN (AP) — A German court convicted a Syrian man Tuesday of torturing captives while he was a member of the Islamic State group in Syria.The Berlin regional court found Raed E. guilty of war crimes, membership of a foreign terrorist organization and other offences. It sentenced the defendent, whose surname wasn’t released in line with German privacy rules, to 11 years imprisonment.Prosecutors said the 32-year-old joined IS in 2014 and participated in targeted attacks on the Shueitat tribe in the Deir el-Zour region of eastern Syria.
