One person has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in North York.Toronto police were called to the Grandravine Drive and Jane Street area just before 9 p.m. on Monday for reports of multiple shots fired.Officers located one victim with serious injuries.Suspects are outstanding and are urging members of the public to avoid the area in the meantime. CHICAGO — Authorities responded after reports of shots fired on Northwestern's Chicago campus on Monday evening. In a message shared on Northwestern University's website at 9:07 p.m., the university confirmed that Chicago and Northwestern police were responding to reports of shots fired outside of Wieboldt Hall near East Chicago Avenue and North Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville.In an update shared at 9:32 p.m., the university provided an "all clear" and confirmed that the campus has been secured. In the update, university officials said "assailants are in custody." SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) -- One person was shot and an alleged suspect was in custody after a SWAT situation in San Marcos on Monday, according to the San Marcos Police Department.Around 4:30 p.m., SMPD said it received a call about someone who was shot. That person drove to a nearby hospital and was expected to survive.The suspect was previously barricaded in an apartment at a complex on El Rio Street, according to police. Brian Maclin was scheduled for a bench trial Monday when he suddenly offered a blind plea to a judge and received probation for crimes FOX 2 first told you about in 2022.The case is documented on police body camera footage from an Aug. 31, 2022, raid that exposed dogs stacked in cages. A long-vacant nightclub property in Lone Tree is now owned by that city.The municipality closed last week on the purchase of 9070 Maximus Drive, which has sat unused since restaurant and nightclub Treo closed in 2009. The city paid $3.85 million for the 14,500-square-foot building on 3.36 acres. The Lone Tree City Council approved the purchase in September, saying the move would allow the city to control redevelopment of the property, which is within the city’s established entertainment district.The property was sold by MRJ Holdings LLC, led by Hemal R. Jhaveri, which paid $3.3 million for it in 2007, records show.
