Suspect attacked elderly man before fatally stabbing 2nd victim in Whittier area, sheriff says A man is being sought for allegedly violently attacking an elderly man in Whittier before going into another nearby home and fatally stabbing another elderly victim and stealing his car, officials said Wednesday. The first elderly man was found stabbed to death in a home in the 15300 block of Goodhue Street in South Whittier around 3 p.m. Tuesday. An investigation revealed the man had been killed about 24 hours earlier and the suspect drove off in his 2021 Silver RAV 4, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna. The vehicle was eventually found abandoned in Chino the next morning. Los Angeles hospital looking to identify man hospitalized for more than 2 weeks Los Angeles General Medical Center is asking for the public to help identify a man who has been hospitalized for more than two weeks.The patient has been in the Boyle Heights hospital since Aug. 14 when he was found at the intersection of Griffin Avenue and E. Avenue 31 in Lincoln Heights.The man is described as being about 60 years old with a medium build, gray hair and brown eyes. He's 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 186 pounds, the hospital said.Los Angeles General Medical Center is asking for the public's help to identify this man who has been hospitalized since Aug. 14, 2023.The hospital is unable to describe the extent of his injuries due to patient confidentiality laws, but images provided by L.A.
