ST. LOUIS - Authorities recovered several guns from a Downtown St. Louis apartment party over the weekend. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that the guns were recovered in the 300 block of North 10th Street. Officers responded to the scene on an undisclosed time and date after a disturbance call. That person was in possession of a stolen firearm from Des Peres, Missouri. SLMPD has not reported any additional details relevant to this investigation. A fast-moving wildfire in western Colorado south of Parachute was burning on more than 2,577 acres Tuesday morning amid increasing winds, authorities said.This Spring Creek fire, which started over the weekend, was spreading across private land in Garfield County and had entered the White River National Forest, according to bulletins and a map posted early Tuesday by the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit.The cause wasn’t clear. Around 134 firefighters had been deployed to suppress the flames. Aircraft loaded with red fire retardant were expected Tuesday in an effort to bolster firefighters’ ground efforts.No evacuations had been ordered and no injuries were reported. A California man vacationing in Europe recently captured video of a tourist vandalizing the Colosseum in Rome.Orange resident Ryan Lutz was on a two-month tour of Europe when he shot the video. “Like a lot of Americans, I probably, you know, saw 'Gladiator' back in the early 2000s … and got entranced by ancient Rome … Yeah, I wanted to see it and it came to life,” Lutz said. But his visit was ruined when he found a guy carving his name into one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A man was shot and wounded in downtown Los Angeles early Tuesday morning, and police are looking for the shooter.The attack was reported at 4:04 a.m. at 801 S. Hope St., according to Officer Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.The victim, a man, was sitting in his vehicle when the shooter approached the car, opened fire an unknown number of times and fled, Madison said.The man was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder, and he is in stable condition.The shooter was last seen fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan, Madison said.Nancy Fontan contributed to this report.'Titanic' actor Lew Palter dies at 94

Actor Lew Palter, who starred in "Titanic" and "First Monday in October" has died. He was 94.Palter died of lung cancer on May 21 at his home in Los Angeles, according to Deadline.The longtime stage and screen actor was also faculty at CalArts School of Theater in Santa Clarita, California. "It is with great sadness that we share the news that longtime #calartstheater faculty Lew Palter has passed away. Lew retired from @CalArts in 2013, having served our community since 1971 as an acting teacher, director, and mentor," the school tweeted on May 21. OAKLAND — A 14-year-old girl and a man were wounded in two shootings that happened within four hours Monday night and early Tuesday in different areas of East Oakland, authorities said.Both victims were in stable condition at hospitals.Police said the shootings are not related.The girl told police she was walking with some friends in the 2000 block of 23rd Avenue about 1 a.m. Tuesday when she heard a loud noise and saw she had been shot in the leg. No one else was injured.The friends took her to a hospital.Police are hoping to interview the girl soon to get more details about the shooting.
