LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Charles “Cotton” Nash, a three-time All-America forward at Kentucky who played in the NBA, ABA and Major League Baseball, has died. He was 80.The school announced Nash’s death on Tuesday after being informed by his son, Patrick, but did not specify a cause.Nicknamed “Cotton” as a child in reference to his bright blond hair, the versatile Nash averaged 22.7 points and 12.3 rebounds over 78 games from 1962-64. His 1,770 points ranked first in school history at the end of his collegiate career and currently stand ninth. His 962 rebounds rank fifth.Nash went on to become one of just 13 players to appear in the NBA and the majors. Drafted 14th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1964, he played there and for the San Francisco Warriors during the ’64-’65 NBA season. (KDVR) -- Two people suspected of shoplifting approximately $200,000 from Denver metro King Soopers stores were arrested Monday, according to police in Wheat Ridge.Officers were called to a King Soopers store after employees recognized a man and a woman as frequent and wanted shoplifting suspects.When they arrived, officers found they had two carts full of nearly $10,000 worth of merchandise. One person was taken to an area hospital and one person was arrested after a stabbing inside a Star Market store on River Street in Mattapan Tuesday, police said. Boston police said a call came in shortly after 3:30 p.m. reporting the incident. The victim, police said, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Photos given to 7NEWS by one shopper showed police surrounding the deli counter inside the Star Market Tuesday afternoon. Patient information may have been stolen during a ransomware incident that hit Harvard Pilgrim earlier this year, the healthcare company said this week. Point32Health, which serves as the parent company for Harvard Pilgrim, said it learned about the incident on April 17 and took systems offline while working to identify the cybersecurity problem. A man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly waved two machetes around in Boston’s Downtown Crossing area, police said.
