Two Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Whitendale AvenueVISALIA, CA (March 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, two victims were killed and one was hurt in a wrong-way accident on Demaree Street.Police responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m., just south of West La Vida Avenue on March 15th.According to reports, the driver of a northbound black GMC pickup-truck veered into the southbound lanes. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with an oncoming black Cadillac sedan.Due to the impact of the collision, paramedics pronounced the driver and passenger inside the sedan dead at the scene. In addition, crews transported the truck driver to Kaweah Health Medical Center for further treatment.At this time, investigators are still trying to determine why the truck driver veered into the oncoming lane. A man was arrested on suspicion of homicide after his father died in what was ruled a suspicious death on Saturday in East San Jose, according to authorities.San Jose police responded to a report of a person down at the 2500 block of Fontaine Road at 6:36 a.m. Saturday and found a man unconscious and not breathing. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.An investigation led authorities to a nearby motel, where a person of interest was apparently staying. An adult male, the victim’s son, was arrested on suspicion of homicide at the motel. (KRON) -- A 16-year-old and a 23-year-old man were arrested on several illegal weapons charges, according to the San Jose Police Department. During an investigation that started in January, detectives identified Diaz-Ramirez and the teen as primary suspects in a series of illegal weapons charges, officials said. Diaz-Ramirez, a convicted felon, was allegedly giving the teen suspect various weapons, SJPD officials said.
