(KXAN) -- There's new hope in the battle against one of the deadliest forms of skin cancer; it's a treatment that uses vaccine technology and the body's immune system to help stop the spread of melanoma. CNBC reported the vaccine "reduced the risk of melanoma spreading to other parts of the body or death by 65% in patients with stage 3 or 4 of the disease compared with patients who received Merck’s immunotherapy treatment alone." FLORISSANT, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot Thursday evening at a home in Florissant. The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Derhake Road. Investigators say a man suffered several gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries. Suncor Energy’s oil refinery in Commerce City experiences more malfunctions that release toxic chemicals into the air than other similarly sized plants in the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency found in a report released Friday.Inadequacies in preventative maintenance, testing and inspections of various control systems and electrical equipment lead to excessive amounts of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide being released into the air, the EPA found. The refinery was compared to 11 other plants in the United States with the same production capacity, the report said.The report will be used by the EPA and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment during inspections so regulators can target specific equipment at the refinery, said KC Becker, the EPA’s Regin 8 director. A man was shot and killed in the driveway of a Hollywood Hills home early Wednesday morning, and now a famous actor has revealed that he and his wife witnessed the shooting unfold from their balcony.
