SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- After winning their first four matches, the San Francisco Glens Women's Team is currently sitting at number one in the USL W League standings. The Glens have started the season unbeaten and cemented themselves as early favorites.Nadia Gomes has been leading the way in attack, netting five goals in the first two matches. However, goals have rained in from around the pitch with 11 different players getting in on the scoring to give the Glens a 21-1 goal margin on the season. CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati has fired two members of its baseball staff a week after the school opened an investigation into possible NCAA violations.In statement released Wednesday, the school said assistant coach Kyle Sprague and director of operations Andy Nagel were relieved of their duties May 17. The school said it began an internal review of potential NCAA infractions involving the baseball program on May 8, and the review is ongoing.“UC is cooperating with the NCAA in this matter,” the school said. PSAC 901, the union representing grad student workers at Queen’s, has suspended it’s emergency food support fund after exhausting funds beyond what was budgeted for.The union says this clearly demonstrates the great level of need among members and for intervention from the university. PSAC says 457 applications were received with $31,325 being paid out to members over the course of 15 weeks.Justyna Scezwyck-El Jassem, the new President of PSAC 901, says upon offering the fund the union quickly realized they would need to find more ways to support their members.“We were hoping that it would just help a couple of people but as time started passing every week we were just getting more and more applications,” Scezwyck-El Jassem said.“Quickly we realized that we sometimes needed $3000 a week to cover the needs of our members.
