For a franchise whose 21st century resume has been defined by a Butt Fumble, the New York Jets’ trade for Aaron Rodgers is a really big deal.New York Jets’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers poses for a picture after a news conference at the Jets’ training facility in Florham Park, N.J., Wednesday, April 26, 2023. He posted his worst numbers since 2017, when the Vikings’ Anthony Barr sacked most of his season.Despite the overflowing Hard Knocks-fueled Gotham hype, Rodgers is no longer a ...Parts of Quaker Road to close for work in Queensbury

ALBANY, N.Y. (WTEN) -- You may want to keep an eye on your car insurance costs if you’re renewing your plan. As of August 1, state law will automatically enroll New Yorkers in additional coverage that they may not need. "Everybody is now going to be automatically enrolled with the supplemental spousal liability coverage whether they’re married or not so it is causing some confusion and some concern with a lot of the insured," explained David Kirst, senior insurance specialist with AAA. Kirst told Capitol Correspondent, Amal Tlaige, right now, if someone were to get in an accident with their spouse at fault they’d only have access to the personal injury protection. "Which will cover medical payments up to $50,000 if they just have the basic personal injury protection, but they are not gonna have access to any of the bodily injury liability limits." Did the pandemic make us worse drivers? This includes access to pain and suffering which allows the injured person to sue their spouse...Have fun at the Watervliet end-of-summer pool party!

Q. Dear Honk: A few years ago, my wife and I jumped through the hoops and got the Real ID golden bear on our driver’s licenses. When I renewed my license this spring, my new license came with the Real ID golden bear, which makes sense because I’m still the same guy. Like some other seniors, my wife realized after the COVID hiatus that it was time for her to stop driving. I applaud her. Her Real ID driver’s license will expire late this fall and she wants to convert it to a Real ID California identification card (complete with golden bear). I called the Department of Motor Vehicles and was told that can’t be done, requiring her to jump through the same hoops she did to get the golden bear on her driver’s license. I see no rational rationale for the DMV to ask for information it already has. Your faithful ancient reader.– Tony Provost, OrangeA.
