Many of those projects are starting to land on council agendas already. On Thursday, eight projects were taken up during the Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) meeting that will be partially funded by 2022 bond dollars, including $1.5 million for improvements at the AHA! at Briarwood and more than $6 million for development of Cairn Point, which will be a 150 unit complex in north Austin. Man flown to Austin hospital after bee attack in Fayette County PLUM, Texas (KXAN) — A bee attack in Fayette County led to an injured man being flown to Austin for treatment and first responders getting stung trying to help him. Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek said deputies along with Fayette County EMS responded to a call Tuesday afternoon about a man lying on the ground "being attacked by bees," according to a news release. This happened on Plum Main Street in the community of Plum, which is about an hour southeast of Austin near La Grange. The sheriff said one of his deputies first used a fire extinguisher to stop the bees from swarming the man on the ground. IN-DEPTH: What should I do if I’m caught in a bee swarm attack? Pedestrian fatally struck by SUV in South St. Paul ID’d Police on Thursday identified a man struck and killed by an SUV this week on Concord Street in South St. Paul.Duane Daniel Johnson, 75, of South St. Paul, was hit around midnight Monday in the 1600 block of Concord Street South, according to South St. Paul Police Chief Brian Wicke.Officers called to the scene found Johnson injured and unresponsive in the street, and a bystander rendering aid. A hiker on the Whiteface Landing trail had begun experiencing muscle cramps, and was unable to continue hiking. The rangers took a four-wheeler and a six-wheeler to Connery Pond Trail, another nearby trail route. Once at the lean-to, the rangers connected with the hikers, who were provided with food and water. Maryland teen assisted for injury near Pharaoh Lake HORICON, N.Y. (NEWS10) - On Friday, a teenage hiker was found by a New York State Forest Ranger after sustaining an injury. The hiker, a 14-year-old from Maryland, had injured his leg while hiking ahead of his mother in the area of Pharoh Lake. The subject was found by a forest ranger on patrol to Pharaoh Lake around 2:40 p.m. The ranger compression-wrapped the hiker's ankle and reconnected him with his mother. Crutches were provided for transport out of the forest, and the hikers were assisted to their vehicle.The Pharoh Lake Wilderness Area spans 46,283 acres of the Adirondack Park, located in parts of Warren and Essex counties. In addition to Pharoh Lake, the area also includes Crane Pond, Gooseneck Pond, Whortleberry Pond, and Berrymill Pond. Pharoh Mountain climbs to an elevation of 2,551 feet.

NYSP issues over 13K tickets over Memorial Day Weekend ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Throughout the Memorial Day Weekend enforcement campaign, New York State Police issued 13,471 tickets statewide.
