GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Office of the Albany County Executive, there were 132 overdose deaths in Albany County in 2022. To combat the opioid epidemic, local officials unveiled a new public health initiative that may help prevent future tragedies. The overdose emergency kits provided by the Albany County Department of Health and Catholic Charities contain Narcan nasal spray.Instructions can be found inside the overdose emergency kits. HYDE PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- In December, Lulu, a 13-year-old Himalayan cat, was brought to a veterinarian's office to be euthanized because she was urinating outside of her litter box. The vet called Dutchess County SPCA (DCSPCA) and they both agreed that this was not a reason to euthanize a cat. Aurora police homicide investigators on Wednesday were gathering evidence at the scene of a killing where a body was found.The body was found in 14600 block of E. 2nd Avenue, according to an Aurora Police Department tweet. (KRON) -- A man who police say kicked a toddler near a Hercules playground has been arrested for child endangerment, according to an incident report from the Hercules Police Department. The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 4, just after 4 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Refugio Valley Park at 1515 Refugio Valley Road for a report of a man who kicked a toddler near the playground, police said. The suspect was described as an adult male wearing a white shirt and black pants.
