2 Florida men guilty of participating in Capitol riot WASHINGTON (AP) — Two Florida men were convicted Wednesday of storming the U.S. Capitol during the January 2021 insurrection.Joshua Christopher Doolin, 25, of Polk City, and Michael Steven Perkins, 39, of Plant City, were each found guilty of felony civil disorder, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, according to court records. Doolin was also convicted of theft of government property. Perkins was separately convicted of assaulting a federal officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon and engaging in acts of physical violence while on the restricted Capitol grounds. Sentencing is scheduled for July 13.Doolin and Perkins were arrested on June 30, 2021, along with co-defendants, Joseph Hutchinson and Olivia Pollock, officials said. Boston police seek public’s help in search for missing 22-year-old Dorchester man Boston police asked for the public’s help Wednesday in a search for a missing 22-year-old Dorchester man. Police said Christian Alicea Castro was last seen leaving Charlestown High School around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Police said Castro was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, a gray “c-town” tee shirt, dark gray pants, black sneakers with white soles and a gray backpack with red writing on it. Castro has short hair and a goatee.Castro has mental health issues, according to police. Though he is mostly non-verbal, police said his primary language is Spanish. Police said they did not know as of Wednesday afternoon whether Castro was on foot or using public transportation. Police asked anyone with information on Castro’s whereabouts to contact 911 or A-1 Detectives at 617-343-4571.

The wind won’t be as strong tomorrow, but still breezy. Overall it’ll be a nice Thursday before we track a few showers late Friday into Saturday morning.High pressure is off to our west, and the nor’easter is still close enough to us that the wind is gusty. Suspect in cold case murder accused of making threats from behind bars A suspect in a cold case murder from 1971 has now been indicted in connection with threats investigators said he made from behind bars, the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday. The DA said Arthur Massei, 77, had been allegedly communicating by letter with a woman outside the prison where he was being held following his arrest in March of 2022 in connection with the murder of Natalie Scheublin, who was bound, beaten and stabbed to death in her Bedford home in 1971. The letters, the DA said, “revealed an escalating level of threats from Massei toward the recipient of the letters if she did not perform tasks to his satisfaction.” The DA said investigators found Massei asked for help recruiting someone to pretend to be a witness and falsely testify that she had information that Massei had been framed for murder.
